Call for Project Applications – AWIPEV Research Base (2026 Season)

It is now possible to submit project applications for work on and with the German-French Arctic research base AWIPEV on Svalbard.

If your project involves access to the station in 2026 (April 2026 – March 2027) or requires support from the AWIPEV station team, you must submit an application—even for multi-year or long-term projects.KEY INFORMATION

  •  Application deadline: September 30, 2025
  • Submission: By email to AWIPEV_Antraegeawipeveu
  • Project period: April 2026 – March 2027
  • Template: Please use the attached template (in English) to prepare your application
  • Assessment: Projects will be evaluated for feasibility and scientific quality
  • Acknowledgment: You will receive a confirmation of receipt. Please follow up if you do not receive one.

SPECIAL NOTES

  •  Long-term projects (AWIPEV_0001 to _0016) are exempt from scientific assessment this year. In chapter 2 [Detailed project description], they only need to complete the sections 2.1, 2.4 and 2.6
  • Dutch projects to be supported by AWIPEV, please also provide information according to the template.
